Product Review – Coleman 6-Person Instant Tent
Quick & Easy
Who likes complicated and confusing?Once I camp, the "setting up & taking down" of my tent may be the part that sucks. Really sucks.
This tent is amazing. The afternoon it arrived, I took it from the box and arrange it (just me - no person helping) within a minute (not counting the stakes)!!
You just unfold it, extend the legs, and walk in. How awesome is always that?
Don't believe me? Check Youtube. Enter "Instant Tent", try to find normally the one with a girl within a bright yellow KOA shirt. That's the video that sold me about this tent.

It's got LOTS of ventilation. the two sides use a large window, the back features a HUGE window. Leading has a window in the door, and a window near the door. I really like there are two roof vents? Yup. The rooftop vents have zippers in it, as well as a rigid "prop" thing. There's velcro in the top flap, on the top of the prop, and on the bottom in the prop (the bottom of the prop is sewn on the tent as well). It is possible to open the roof vents internally by unzipping the screen and raising the prop. To close it you merely lower the prop, and velcro the superior flap to the bottom of the prop.
I realize, that's alot of info for something as trivial as a vent. BUT, I guess it's time an incredibly nice feature, and haven't seen it mentioned in any reviews or videos.
The windows. HUGE! What i'm saying is huge inside a HUGE way! You can get lots of ventilation. When you open the windows, it's like having the whole top half your tent as ventilation.
Some text in regards to the windows - if you open them, the flap hangs with your tent. I've read reviews where people were unsatisfied with this. Well you know what. In the event you leave each zipper zipped up around 4 inches, rather than fully open, you produce a pocket of sorts, between the mesh and also the fabric elements of the windows. Just stuff the flap into this little pocket, and think of it as good.
NO RAINFLY. I sprayed the tent which has a hose. I mad it "rain" into the tent, looked after "rained" sideways all around. No leaks. I had been interested in the top vents, but no water got in.
When it's time to defeat your tent, fold it up as instructed, then roll it, on a lawn, being a sleeping bag. Just keep rolling it until you have the air squeezed out. Not merely is it simple to have this tent back in it's storage bag, I surely could put THAT back in the box that it were only available in!
And the carry bag. Even the bag is well-rehearsed! It features a full length zipper (think about your standard gym carrying case, only longer). It's bigger than it must be, so it's easy to get the tent back in. And, in case you have trouble obtaining the air from it, and CAN'T zip it, you can find straps with buckles, so that you can strap the most notable, then cinch on the buckles to tighten the bag enough to zip up.
I picked this tent for several reasons: 1) it establishes easily. 2) it's tall (I'm six ft . tall). 3) it doesn't cost an arm & a leg.
This is my third - or maybe fourth - Coleman tent. I've never had difficulties with them leaking, didn't have a zipper fail, never had broken poles.
I gave it four stars instead of five for 2 reasons. If not for these two (albeit rather insignificant) little details, I might have five stars and then some.
FIRST: 2 storage pockets. It's a 6 man tent (in theory). Why only two measly pockets? You will find there's hook sewn in the peak, to hang a lantern, which can be nice.
SECOND: the door is square in the bottom, setting up a "corner". Since zippers don't like corners, they used two zippers. One zipper goes over the bottom, one other zipper goes throughout the top & on the side. Well, there's a gap. It's a smaller gap, but wait, how much room do spiders, ants or ticks need? Where I camp, there are several ticks & poisonous spiders. My new tent includes a spider-sized doggy-door.
All-in-all, I have to give Coleman a thumbs high on this tent. In reality, I've already talked two different people into buying this model tent, and I've only had it for 3 days.
And whomever designed the setup assembly, an increased-five, hug, and dinner :) Item Reviewed: Coleman 6-Person Instant Tent Rating: 5 Reviewed By: Sacfdfa sasd
